MISSION AND HISTORY
The Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation (RASF) has been helping students achieve their post-secondary educational goals for over 30 years. RASF’s mission is to raise money for and contribute scholarships to Rhinelander students, many of whom may not receive scholarship support from other sources. The Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation is a 501c3 charitable, non-profit organization that was established in 1991 with a volunteer governing board.
RASF works closely with the school district to arrange scholarships and manage the local scholarship application process. The board also collaborates with RHS staff and administration to arrange the annual scholarship awards ceremony each May.
If you are interested in joining the Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation's Board, or if you would like to volunteer to assist with events sponsored by RASF, please contact us. RASF is always looking for people to help us continue in our mission to provide scholarships to Rhinelander youth!
It has been great to get involved with the community again. A chance to give back to the place I grew up, is very satisfying.
RASF has made a difference in my life, by working with and getting to know many of our donors, and the specific reasons they choose to support us.
As a graduate of RHS and mother of 5 RHS graduates, I understand the importance of continuing education whether it is through technical school, trade programs or universities.
I was born and raised in Rhinelander and am an alumni of RHS. Having obtained my master’s degree, I am a strong proponent of higher education and am extremely proud of the accomplishments of the RASF.
As someone who believes in the power of education, joining RASF is a great opportunity for me to give back to a community I care about.
